This tutorial is for the beginning wire wrapper who is ready for the next step in basic pendant construction, or who has minimal wire wrapping experience. This versatile pendant harness is easy to adapt to stones of many shapes and sizes.
This technique of wire wrap allows for designs to be as simple or as abundant in swirls and curls, as you desire.
Materials
5 feet of 22g Square Copper wires
5 feet of 22g ½ round Copper wires
1 small cabochon approximately 10mm round or oval (8mm round works also)
1 slightly larger cabochon approximately 1 inch (25mm) either oval or teardrop shape.
Alternate design is to use two, 1 inch cabochon
Tools
Flush cutter
Round nose pliers
Chain link or Flat Nose pliers
Nylon Jaw pliers (optional)
Bale dowel (pencil, pen)
Blue painter tape or masking tape or even scotch tape.
