Class #105 COMING SOON - Beginner Wire Coils & Beaded Reversible Pendant

In this class, students will learn how to create a gorgeous reversible wire wrapped, beaded and Coiled pendant, using round copper wires and traditional hand coiling techniques.

Students will learn a versatile bail construction and  how to work with mixed wire sizes, adding depth and texture to design.

​This versatile technique is easy to adapt to drilled stones of many shapes and sizes.  In this class, we will be using a round stone and creating a reversible beaded and coiled pendant with a lot of statement!

In this class, you will learn how to create a gorgeous, two sided pendant, using coils, a drilled focal stone and accent beads.  You will be shown how to create wire coils both by hand and by drill during class.  We will make the whole pendant together by hand, but I will also demonstrate how to create coils using a drill.

This unique pendant frame allows for endless design options and once learned, is easy to modify to fit any size or shape drilled stone (bead).

​Materials needed, if you have them on hand.

• 18 gauge, round, dead soft wire x 1 foot (for dowel)
• 20 gauge, round, dead soft wire x 5 feet
• 22 gauge, round, dead soft wire x 5 feet
• 28 gauge, round, dead soft wire x 15 feet
• 1 Round focal bead, approximately 1 x 1 inch, top center drilled OR
• 1 Oblong focal bead, approximate 1 to 1.5 long x .5 wide, top center drilled.
• Small accent beads (optional)

Tools needed, if you have them on hand
Flush Cutter
Round Nose Pliers
Chain Nose Pliers
6-8mm dowel (pen, pencil, works too)
Nylon Jaw pliers (optional)

NOTE;  The smaller accent beads are not included in the kit, but Lithos has a nice selection of smaller accent beads as well as focal beads, available in store.  You can give them a call to shop by appointment and have any additional materials shipped ahead of time or even after class.
